  • Form 2A(ANF 2A) requires basic details of the business and its proprietors, partners or directors, bank account details and a bank certificate (where the business has an account) stating the period for which the business has an account with the bank.
  • IE Code is issued is valid for the lifetime for the entity and requires no renewal. It can be obtained and used by that entity for all its import or export transactions without any hassle.
  • IEC can be surrendered if a holder does not wish to operate the allotted IEC number. The authority can be canceled on receipt of such intimation electronically.
  • Application Fee is Rs. 500 and after it no fee shall be payable in respect of any application made by such class or category of applicant as  specified  in  Foreign  Trade.

  1. While filing the form you will be asked to fill PAN, e-mail Id and mobile number of the applicant.
  2. After entering the details, you will get a separate registration code on the mobile number and e-mail Id, only then you can fill part B and C
  3. You can save, edit or fill the form later as per your convenience. But when you re-log in, step 2 will be repeated.
  4. Fill part B and C carefully.
  5. After filling the signatory details, upload the photograph and other documents in JPG/GIF format.
  6. After reviewing the application, pay application processing fees of Rs. 500/- through debit or credit card or through net banking.
  7. In case you don’t have digital signature, then follow step as follows:
  8. Take a print out of the duly filled application form.
  9. Put signature manually.
  10. Upload the duly signed form and also submit the printed and duly signed and filled application in the office of concerned regional authority through post or by hand.
  11. On submission, a confirmatory message or e-mail of receipt of application would be sent on registered mobile number or email.
